The point is to get others to think of you, when considering someone for a particular job, task, assignment, need, or project. Others must be aware of your full range of knowledge or expertise to consider you as a possible candidate for filling a need. If they’re unaware of your capabilities, you may be overlooked during the consideration process. You must build a brand by marketing your unique personality, style, expertise, and skills to your target market. Nike has built a brand that includes their logo, name, and innovative design. When people see anything that remotely resembles the Nike “swoosh” (the Nike logo), they think of Nike. They also think of innovative athletic shoe design, slick commercials, and performance.
